![]() ![]() You have to use those boxes, they won't accept anything else. Without any extra fees they will send you boxes to put your bed in and return it to Sleep Number. What they don't tell you is you have two options for returning the product. In the end, after about 2 months of trying it I called to return it for a full refund (mostly). Just like my previous mattress I ended up sleeping on the couch for several nights just to try to get some sleep. That caused a lot of discomfort too, both during sleep and after I got up. Second, I found that the air mattress underneath me did get a little softer but more than anything it actually caused my spine and body overall to become misaligned because my head and legs were at a higher point than my waist, which was being lowered by the air being released closer to the middle of the bed. That's what you're paying an excess of $3,000 for. Outside of that you have the air pump and the remote that controls the bed. And then there's that horribly cheap, yellow foam that you can also buy at Walmart for maybe $50. First, these mattresses seem to run pretty firm to begin with and all you're doing when you make the bed "softer" is letting air out of a freaking air mattress, the size and quality of one that you can probably buy at Walmart for $100. I even paid EXTRA for more padding and THIS is what I got?!!Īfter going over the shock about the price of these mattresses and the lack of quality how comfortable was it for me? I would argue that it was just as uncomfortable as my previous mattress, if not a little more so. I uploaded them here, since the upload image option is greyed out for some reason. I took pictures of the bed being put together. Given the complete lack of quality, this is actually what you're paying (in my case) $3,000 for. but I asked you about the quality of the mattress that you're asking upwards of $5,000 for. I even asked a Sleep Number rep recently what materials were in their beds and they went on something like auto pilot telling me that they are associated with the NFL and other companies. When the Sleep Number delivery guys showed up they delivered by bed and put it together for me. The only reason I even considered going ahead with the purchase was because of their full money back guarantee if I didn't like it before (I think) 3 months. ![]() ![]() I believe I paid close to $3,000 for the bed, but with my not sleeping well I was desperate for a good night's sleep. When I went to pay for the bed I was shocked by the price. I eventually settled on buying either the P6 or P5 (I cannot remember any longer) along with paying a little extra for an extra layer of padding. I drove to a local store and spoke with a representative and the guy was very nice, allowed me to try out different models of the bed, and obviously tried to push me to buy their other offerings, like a pillow and sheets (which I had no interest in but he sure tried to convince me). I thought this might be a perfect solution to my problem. I had seen for years the commercials about Sleep Number and how you can adjust the firmness of the mattress. A few years ago I was having issues sleeping due to orthopedic issues and I was looking for a more comfortable bed. ![]()
